SketchUp. You can learn it on your own, as I did. They have very good vidio tutorials to uplode and user community. All my published drawings are created using this not expensive tool.

4DGarden I am new to the landscape design business and I would like to know if you could give me some tips on making great designs .
I also would like to know how much should I charge for my designs?
Is it possible to just design for the customer and not have to go through the tedious tasks of hiring a contractor?
How much do you have to know about plants to become a landscape designer?
Where do you get this information?

I have to say, I love Sketch-Up too. Although I teach VectorWorks and AutoCAD too, once you've got the SketchUp bug, you'll never look back!...
