Hi Maria - hope you're staying busy! I've found that my local freecycle group (www.freecycle.org) is a great place to find a new home for pots - in the past few months I've been able to find homes for about 500 pots rather than skipping them. They've generally gone to help school projects and the like.

To all those who have asked - I trained full-time at Oxford College of Garden Design and gained a merit in the Post Graduate Diploma. (previous studies include garden design courses at The English Gardening School and David Stevens International) I have a History degree and enjoy designing and renovating old gardens. I'm also passionate about sustainable design. In my previous life as a teacher - many moons ago - I ran The Environmental Club at school! I am now cluster group co-ordinator for The Society of Garden Designers in Milton Keynes - do contact me if you are in the SGD and are local and want to join one of our meetings. Maria

Hi,
You local re-cycling centre will take the pots off your hands. Many amatuer gardeners go there and fill their boots with in the spring!

The pots thing is something that bothers me too.. domestically there should be no problem recycling them?!! Therefore, could the clients be left with them to include in their boxes? I don't know if this is a practical long term solution though!

As an environmentally conscious designer I am seeking somewhere (preferably local to Milton Keynes) to recycle plant pots. Does anyone have any suggestions?
