Miserable May
9:56 AM on 13 May 2009

The weather has beaten me again. Managed to mow the front lawn the other day, but was so busy yesterday I didn't get the back one done and now its raining again, and the forecast is gloomy. Also have my hanging basket to plant with lobelias and whatever else I can pick up from the garden centre when I get round to going...being organised is not my strong point, as you can see!

They say we are in for a hot dry summer, but it's not looking too promising at the moment! The forecast on Metcheck is almost depressing.

So I'm on indoor duty today - have to finish pricking out my Aubreita seedlings, which are doing well, still a novice at this job so it takes me ages!

Have noticed my summer bulbs have sprung up, and true to form I have forgotten what they actually are! Alos there are a lot of seedlings, but I'm unsure what are weeds and what are seeds I've actually put in. I really should start writing down what I've put where, because I can't remember what I sowed there either...novice gardener? Absolutely!! lol

Must say a quick thankyou for the invitation to a garden visit in Gloucestershire this Friday - unfortunately I can't go as it's not suitable for young children and I'd have a 2 year old in tow (who loves flowers - but hates being in his buggy too long!). The area is gorgeous, I used to live in Bourton on the Water, so know how pretty the villages and gardens around there are. Hopefully there will be another opportunity to meet with some of you in the future. Enjoy your day!
