To make things grow, you need to use s***

Sorry for the title but I had to think of a way to put a positive spin on things.

Before Christmas, I received the news that I was receiving a DLA award for my son; good news after two years without!  High care, low mobility (though as my son has sprained/broken two of my fingers yesterday as he didn't want to go in a particular direction, low mobility might be contestible!).  That was the good news.  The bad news is even though I told them NOT to put it in my old account (which is currently closed due to me going through a DRO), and even though I tried to give them my new account details which they refused to take over the phone, they did it anyway.  I was only able to retrieve 40% of what I was due as a result, which was gutting.  I'm not usually a wishy-washy person but with all the stress I've been under of late, I burst into tears.  Ugh.

Still, one needs manure to make a garden grow.  I just hope that was enough of a load for a while!

I am still managing to get the other credits I'm due sorted out as well as some bills which came out of nowhere.  I'll be spelunking about this month, getting some potatoes in for chitting and will put a mind to seeds, as well as getting some topsoil shipped in. A mate of mine suggested I try getting some free cuttings - and I almost was going to ask the RHS community but common sense prevailed; they're not a particularly friendly lot, I've found.  I suppose I could try asking here, though I recognise that this isn't a charity.

Even though the ground is covered in snow I'm doing my best to plan things out in advance as I can't afford to make huge mistakes, especially since the windfall I was expecting was more of a breeze.  Still, musn't grumble.  I'll get there.
