We just used a hand held disc with an abrasive polishing wheel attached. It does create a fair bit of dust but the finished look is worth it.

Good luck with it!

I bet you don't have too many of those Andy! If you do just give me a shout though. Regards, Lara

I should have said, coloured concrete instead of white - was thinking of a different garden! That particular one had a black cement dye in it...

Hi again Andy

Thank you for your kind words as well! No it's not a trade secret (well not now I'm about to tell you!). The seat is made out of a white concrete, which just as it 'going off' is acid etched - I think that is the right terminology (basically scrubbed with a sponge with diluted HCL until the small stones show through). But recently we have experimented with letting the concrete set fully and then polish it with an abrasive wheel - which we think produces a much nicer effect and is much easier to do.

Best wishes

Rachel

Hi Andy

Many thanks for paint info, I will pass the details onto some clients that were interested. It certainly is unbelievably expensive!!

Best wishes

Rachel

Thanks ! I have looked at it & you're right - horribly expensive but I'm hoping to use it on the next garden as it promises to be maintenence free

Enjoyed viewing your album... I'm biased towards contemporary gardening, would you be interested in helping me with my garden project?
