I started my art work a few years ago and it is hard using coloured pencils as you need to concentrate-something I am not good at! Yes I will go to Egypt , prob next year. By the way my first show garden was called The Enchanted Garden!

Your pictures are very beautiful, it must take a long time to get them looking so fine. I've worked in pastels a few times but think I've found my home using acrylic paint and hope eventually to transfer to oils. Are you going to Egypt? I painted a replica Egyptian tomb "trompe l'oiel" for a local shop/cafe a couple of years ago, it was quite effective!

Unfortunately in the present climate i fear it could be a problem for many designers getting sponsors-but i'm sure you will get your sponsor

Have worked overseas before? The prospect would certainly excite me - a whole new gamut of plants and conditions to explore and work with. Fantastic.

Hi Claudia. Browsing I came across your work. Ow my God, as Janice from Friends would say. I remember seeing your Design at Hampton and loved it. I have to say the Cotswold garden is inspiring, truly truly beautiful. Would loved to have seen it for real.

Hi Claudia,

I've just seen your reply to my message. Thanks a lot - that's helpful, but more importantly, also quite reassuring! Thanks!

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind giving me a little of your expertise. I'm currently working for an environmental campaign organisation but am at the very early stages of trying to work my way towards a career change. I'd like to move towards working in horticulture and I'm currently thinking it will be in garden design, specialising in wildlife/environmentally friendly gardens. I've just started a correspondence course on the RHS level 2 and will follow that up with RHS level 3. I'm really looking to find out how I can go from those qualifications to a genuine career. I'd love to know how you did it, any advice or words or encouragement or warning you can give and really anything to make me think it's possible! You've done it, so I guess it is. Anything you can offer or any advice or info yo can give would be hugely appreciated. Thanks a bundle.
Neil
