Thanks for the note - shame about the timing. we have a surplus that has to be used asap and the gardens are something we've been planning on doing for a while. if it hasn't been sorted by september i'll definitely get back in touch. thanks again, Rebecca
Hi David It was great to meet up with you and Tim at Chelsea - what a fabulous experience. I was amazed how my own ideas of what I veer towards in design were challenged by witnessing close-up the incredible skills and ingenuity that were being poured into the gardens as they were being built. Thank you for the kind words, too! I too loved Adam Frost's garden - a real place for real people, with simple yet arresting details. And the trees were fab!
Can I suggest that all students take David up on his offer? I would have given my right arm for this sort of support when I was a student. Well done, David. If in my own small way I can help, feel free to contact me, too; full time professional designer since 2002 with own practice in the Midlands. Cheers all, Mark
Thanks David for the comment - I will definitely check out the book ( I have a bit of a garden book addiction!). I'm also doing a research project into Clairvoyee - so if you know of any other useful books I would be most grateful - Vic
Hi David - It's great to see someone of your calibre on this site - I think anything that can be done to raise the profile of garden design as a full fledged profession is a great thing. Hope you have many suggestions for us students!
Hi David Many thanks for the recommendation I will try to reciprocate. i hope to meet you this year at one of the forthcoming shows we are at Eco-build-Earls Court & the usual RHS Shows. Do you have any show gardens this year? Lisa
Hi David- we were talking on a thread about wildlife etc (i'm the one in Portugal!) and I just realised you are in Buckgham- that's where I am from- I have friends near you (School Lane and Nelson St etc!) my Dad is Colin Marsterson- as it's such a small and friendly town you may even know him!
