Our designer Amanda Patton was on site to dayshe said she was very pleased and exited with the progress so far.

Finished on site at 7.30

Went for dinner at the Bell inn at Hampton the steak was good.

Concerned about the weather due on wednesday but we should get all of the hard landscaping finished tuesday.

Hi Alex
I don't know if you've seen my blog about collecting broken tools from Hampton Court contractors? I run Tools Shed, a garden tool recycling project, for the Conservation Foundation. The broken tools are fixed in the workshops at Wandsworth Prison and will be given to schools for their gardens in the autumn.

The RHS is letting us trial a collection scheme at Hampton Court, picking up tools after the show close.

If you break any tools at Hampton Court of have any at your base you could let us have, we'd be delighted. We'll be round with a trailer on 15 July and can pick up from the garden or maybe the RHS will let you leave tools with them.

Hope things are going well. I also do the Soc of Garden Designers' PR, so will be visiting Amanda tomorrow. All best Lindsay
