Materclass in building a web presence/blogging and social networking, twitter, facebook et al
4:12 PM on 9 January 2010
I've noticed quite a few posts about setting up websites, and why we need to bother with blogging (or not) - let alone Twitter, Facebook and other social networking. Hopefully this video might might be of interest

Masterclass for Oxford College of Garden Design - Building a Web Presence for Garden Designers
from Elspeth on Vimeo.

This video was put together as part of our new interactive online training program at Oxford College of Garden Design. It's really useful, for anyone who wants to improve their web page rankings - called Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). By following these simple steps you can significantly increase your web presence. We explain why its important to blog, Twitter, and use social media like Facebook, TGN and LinkedIn. According to Duncan Heather, Principal of the College, addressing the post grad design students: "This is probably the most important video tutorial you will watch this year!" For more thoughts from Oxford College of Garden Design and Interactive Learning please feel free to pop by the blog.

Thanks Elspeth, I have listened avidly to this and watched it twice. Being in the over 50's demographic group this is all new and really helpful, as I have just built my website.

Hi Elspeth,
Just listened to the above. Great to listen to with clear concise content. Could give myslf a pat on the back for what I was doing right, motivated me to move forward with things in the pipeline and make a checklist of things to attend to - just what I was needing to kick start 2010 website update. Cheers :)
