Ideas welcome

I have just uploaded a recent piccy of my slowly developing veggie beds. If any of you would care to look at the area where the pot cat and blue container are, then cast your eye down in front of the raised beds, still with me?? I would like to create a barrier to keep my dog off, and give some privacy around the sitting area to the left which is out of view. My request is for ideas please. It must be fairly high, natural looking, cheap if possible.  Ideas i've had are: upright railway sleepers sloping down and round, natural hedgerow, gazebo type of thing, even a fence with a gate. I would wellcome any advice please

Hi, I've just been looking at your photos', wow you've worked hard.

Dogs get everywhere don't they.  One of mine would jump over a hedge to get into the neighbours garden and the other would just push his way through I ended up putting up a fence.

I have an idea for your space - I don't know how well it will work though.  How about a few post and heavy duty wire and then have some espalier fruit trees planted diagonally and trained along the wire and also some cultivated bramble to train horisontally along the wire.  That way you have a bit of a hedge for privacy, a visible barrier to then train your dog not to cross and a good supply of apples and blackberries for pie.

Have fun what ever you decide. The railway sleeper idea sound interesting but watch out for the reclaimed treated sleepers the creosote eventually seeps into the ground, not very organic.

I would go for a 1.5m high picket fence style, with gate, leading to pergola for seating area. Fence painted white or left to silver with age.

Wondered how you had been getting on with the fence. Wattle fencing is very natural and can be made in hazel or willow. It doesn't have to be solidly woven, it often looks better when the middle of the panel has only a few pieces woven through it. You can even do it yourself-much more rewarding. If you want any pictures let me know.
