I love May. Everything looks really fresh, the greens are bright and the days are still getting longer. I don't worry about things being too close together (yet) or remember that I meant to move this plant or prune that shrub but forgot and now is not a good time.
I finally finished emptying the compost bin so I can start filling it up again. Goodness knows where I am going to store all the bags I filled. I did intend for it to be used as a mulch around shrubs and trees but it took longer to empty than I anticipated. Too late now.
Saw the first addition to the gardens bird population with a baby robin sitting on the fence waiting to be fed.
Star plant for the month: Viburnum plictatum 'Grandiflorum', huge flowers which start green then turn white.
