I'm just curious to know whether any of you have started looking for business yet and how you're marketing your services. Have you had any luck with leaflet drops/cards in shop windows/etc.

Being a student, money is tight and I want to put it where it's likely to get the best results!!

I also have a problem about how to market myself, I really have to start thinking about it next year. The problem I have is that I only do the design work and would need to find reliable contractors to carry out the work. I do tend to tell as many people as possible what i do. I work part time in B&Q garden centre and when people are asking advice about their gardens I always slip in that i'm a garden design student, it's surprising how many people are interested and ask about fees etc.I havent managed to get any commissions yet though.
