Looking forward to working with Jo Thompson on the courtyard garden that she has designed for Demelza Childrens' Hospices at Chelsea Flower Show next week (19-22 May)
Jo's garden was absolutely charming and underlines the point that you need to be a master tactician to get it right! The design was simple (as the best are) and used materials sparingly but well. I loved the wind chimes - BIG!! and the planting was genuinely inspirational and clever. I think one of the truest things Jo said was how friendly all the other designers and builders were. Shows usually bring the very best out of people, particularly when they are under pressure. There are usually no shortage of practical jokers as well - but that's another story!!
