Hi Charles, my back lawn looks completely dead and yellow. should i put fertilizer on it? how often should i water it now? as you must have guessed I am a complete amateur although I did manage to make a nice front garden but the back was terrible when I moved here 1.5 years ago. I reseeded where it needed, I have spiked it to give it plenty air and last year in autumn I did put fertilizer on it and it greened up nicely, however it now looks very sick and yellow. Could it be deseased??? There are a couple of bald patches in the lawn. Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Charlie, Have been in Turkey for a week so have only just caught up. Thank you for your ideas, I have had another idea as well!! I thought I might buy some arched iron rought gates fixed together somehow and fixed into the ground (hav'nt figured out yet)like an upsidedown Y with veering off th the fencing with a smaller gate allowing me to enter the veg area. I could then have climbers, hanging baskets, etc. Chris.

Hi Charles just discovered marestail today to add to the mix! Will definitely need to sue something but probably leave it until they are away on holiday so the dogs aren't affected!
