It's a beautiful day and here I am sat in the office with my border terrier dog, looking out at the sunshine from behind a desk covered in paper, with deadlines screaming for 'more action' and less 'playing' on the Garden Network site!  2 of my team are away ski-ing and the office manager isn't in today, so I'm holding the fort..... which means lots of tea and chocolate biscuits....

I am Ruth Elwood and I run my own practice of landscape architects - we are a team of 5 people and complete garden designs as well as commercial design for planning application type work.  Our client list is a good mixture from the King of Dubai to the regular National house builders.

We are always looking for contacts, such as sculpture artists and GOOD landscape contractors who are able to impliment our garden designs, so if you are interested in putting names foward, let us know, if you operate in the East Anglian Region or wider afield.

We are also always looking for new talent; someone who has the energy and ability to create exciting designs, has a good plant knowledge, can use AutoCAD and Photoshop and other Office packages.  I'm finding that there is  REAL shortage of talented people coming through the system, so if you think yo have what it takes, let us know.

This is my first BLOG entry, so perhaps I will speak with some of you later via the blog.
