Anyone have any ideas as to how to time manage a grass cutting round. We have 4 lawnmowers but the jobs are at least 5 miles apart.  We do minimum 2 hour slots.

BLIND DAFFODILSA customer of mine has a lawn planted with a long swathe of daffodils which do not flower. They have been planted quite deeply - 6 inches or so (I thought shallow planting was often the cause?) The lawn stays very wet for ages (maybe poor drainage/clay soil is the problem). Anyway, digging them up will be quite a task, and I'll need to topsoil and re-seed a lot of holes.Q: must I dig up each one by hand with a trowel or full size spade and re-fill the holes with topsoil and grass seed? As this will take ages! Or could I apply a broadleaf weedkiller to kill them (and the dandelions that have also colonised the swathe) without killing the grass?I'm considering donning a rubber glove, with a woollen one over the top and dunking my hand into a bucket of glyphosate. Then pulling each daffodil through my clenched hand in an upward motion, thereby killing only the individual plant and not the surrounding turf.Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks,Mr Jolly : )
