As the sun is blazing again today and i have less than three weeks left until my maternity leave ends i am going to attempt a couple of things in the garden today. It may not sound too challenging but with a very very active 3yr old and 8 month old, getting the timing right is key!!!

I will introduce the garden to you, we inherited it in feb this year. It is a country cottage/farm type garden. pretty big and it was totally overgrown and has been neglected for many years. The immediate jobs were to tame the lawn and unearth the flower beds from under a foot of thick grasses.

I have never had a garden before but have always dreamt of having one and am enjoying the process of discovery and growth soooooooo much it makes me quite emotional!!!! I dont really know what i am doing, what goes in when and where, what is a flower or weed? but as a friend said to me a weed is only a weed if you dont want it!

Anyway, jobs today; finish rotavating the veggie patch and transfer the veggies i have been growing in pots and try and mow as much of the lawn as i can (big lawn, rubbish flymo!).
