I am trying to track down a natural, biodegradeable mulch matting that comes in rolls to help protect a very steep bank that has been cleared (by builders, not me, I hasten to add) before planting. Any recommendations? Cheers, Jenny

Hi Henry,
I'd love to have the details please. I find it's not just the limited stock but the general unwillingness to get an order together quickly enough that's equally frustrating. Earlier this week I arrived at one nursery only to find the order hadn't been picked so I spent all day trudging round in the pouring rain picking out 250plants - It's so frustrating when one wants to give a lot of money to someone for something and they don't seem interested! Perhaps we should all gang together and start our own nursery...
I've used Hopes Grove for trees and hedging before and thought their service was excellent. All suggestions grtaefully received!
Kind regards
Jenny

Hi Jenny,
I have found the same problem myself. Local nurseries do often seem quite limited in the stock they carry. In fact I have taken to ordering trees and shrubs from reputable tree and shrub nurseries on the Internet. the quality has been good and the prices are competitive. If you want more info and their *******s etc, just let me know and I will furnish you with them.
Kindest Regards
Henry (Designs On Your Garden) [I've posted this here again because I accidentally posted it on your personal site instead of the group... sorry].

I'm interested to know which suppliers/growers you use for shrubs in particular. I have found a couple of good nurseries who are relatively local but their stock lists are quite limited. Trees, lavenders and herbaceous perennials seem to be easier to find in the right varieties and quantities. Do tell...!
