Hi Sean!
I have somehow gotten myself involved in a treacherous situation - I have agreed to help my best friend with her garden. She knows less than me, but together we have survived a whole 3 days of solid gardening! :)
We are looking to turn a small bricked terrace into a bit of a serenity garden with a water feature. At this stage all we have done is to clean out the space which has been sitting 'fallow' for the past 5 years, dug up all the weeds and turned the soil. Any advice in terms of landscaping, i.e. things one should think about when one knows nowt? Yes Sean, i am clutching at straws, seeking very basic advice at this stage of the garden transformation!
Any hints, tips and advice would be appreciated!

Hi Sean,
Searching for ideas for the front garden, far too late last night, I ended up signing up on this site. I wasn't sure what it was all about but it seems that most of the members are from the UK and I live in Canada...I'm thinking I might still benefit by some of the photos and gardening experiences of others.

Hi Sean,
Thanks for the message. I only joined a few days ago to get inspiration from others on gardening. I am a beginner gardener so am still learning the ropes.

We can supply all of your landscaping materials but there is always that occasion when, as a designer, you want something unusual or you are following a design with some special looking hardwoods. We have a mill at Lewes and a huge production mill in Chichester.
