I am a garden designer and landscaper, located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Most of my work is rural, on hilly land and usually very stony soil. It can often be wet & cold up here so I have to be careful when choosing plants. I tend to stick with survivors as customers expect the plants to live! I avoid artificail products as most the gardens I create are surrounded by natural stone, including the numerous drystone walls that this area is noted for. My philosophy is that my gardens should be sympathetic to their beautiful surroundings.
