Thanks for the extra piccies - I remember the 'island beds' - all the rage at the time, as I expected, the trees are a lot bigger!! Mental note to self to visit when I am up your way.
Best regards
Yes, i shall when i get time as it takes ages. Bressingham is a great place, you should go and visit. I work mainly on Adrian Blooms Foggy Bottom garden which is over 40years old. There are a fantastic assortment of gardens at Bressingham and the variety of plants is staggering. Definately a garden and plants enthusiasts paradise! :-)
Great to see a picture of Bressingham Gardens - haven't been there since I was a student in the 60's! I expect it has changed a bit and the trees will be somewhat larger!! Do post more.
Welcome aboard the Garden History group.
Do feel free to add to the first topic with ideas about your favourite historic gardens and perhaps also think about starting a new discussion topic?
Spread the word - garden history is important - to me anyway!!
